PATEL, Pierre
French Baroque Era Painter, ca.1605-1676
He dedicated himself exclusively to the art of landscape painting, and it is presumed that he spent his entire career in Paris, as there is no evidence to support claims that he went to Italy. In 1633-4 he was admitted to the guild of St Germain-des-Pres and in 1635 was admitted to the Academie de Saint-Luc. In 1651 he took part in a vain attempt to merge the Academie Royale and the Academie de Saint-Luc Related Paintings of PATEL, Pierre :. | Scheunenhof | sorcery,or the allegory of hercules | i kobmandens bad en vinterdag | Das Eisenwalzwerk | Long Island | Related Artists: solanaAntoine Caron1520-1598

Antoine Caron Location
Antoine Caron (1521 in Beauvais - 1599 in Paris) was a French master glassmaker, illustrator, Mannerist painter and a master (teacher) at the School of Fontainebleau.
He is one of the few French painters of his time who had a pronounced artistic personality. His work reflects the refined, although highly unstable, atmosphere at the court of the House of Valois during the French Wars of Religion of 1560 to 1598. Wall, William GuyAmerican, 1792-1862
